1810 SecureDoc preboot authentication (PBLx32 / PBLUx32 mode) doesn’t supported on a Dell Latitude 5400

Environment:
SecureDoc Client for Windows 8.3SR1 / 8.5
Dell Latitude 5400
For details of SecureDoc Client supported environments, see KBA 1811.

Problem:
Users are unable to authenticate at preboot after successfully installing SecureDoc Client for Windows with PBLx32 (legacy BIOS) / PBLUx64 (UEFI BIOS) mode, encrypting the hard disk, and restarting.
The preboot authentication screen is not displayed during a system startup.  Users are unable to enter authentication details.
Solution:
This issue is resolved by installing SecureDoc 8.3SR1 or later version with latest KnownConfig XML file.  The use of KnownConfig XML forces SecureDoc to use 64bit preboot authentication screen (PBLx64 / PBLUx64 mode).
IMPORTANT: The latest KnownConfig XML file is attached to KBA 1745. Always install the latest version.
