Environment: SecureDoc Client for Windows 8.3SR1 / 8.5 HP ProBook 640 G5 For details of SecureDoc Client supported environments, see KBA 1813. Problem: Users are unable to use wireless network authentication at preboot after successfully installing SecureDoc Client for Windows with PBLx32 (legacy BIOS) / PBLUx64 (UEFI BIOS) mode, encrypting the hard disk, and restarting. The driver for wireless network NIC is not available. Solution: This issue is resolved by installing SecureDoc 8.3SR1 or later version with latest KnownConfig XML file. The use of KnownConfig XML forces SecureDoc to use 64-bit preboot authentication screen (PBLx64 / PBLUx64 mode) which has the driver for the wireless network NIC.
