Error message during WinMagic Install: "Previously FileVault 2 data protection cycle has not been finished yet"

Message:
Customers may receive the following error message while trying to install WinMagic SecureDoc on a MacBook Air:
SecureDoc for File Vault 2: SecureDoc detects: previously (attempted) FileVault 2 data protection cycle has not been finished yet. Please restart computer after 100% of conversion has been done. SecureDoc will continue installation automatically.

Summary:
During SD installation, File Vault 2 protection was enabled by SecureDoc and then it was placed in a paused state.
This article will assist in resolving the paused state of FileVault encryption processes.

Product version affected:
All SD versions that support FileVault 2

Environment (OS/hardware/software):
Mac 10.8.x, 10.9.x, 10.10.x
MacBook Air 13.1 OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2

Solution/Workaround:
Step1:
Power up the device and hold the the command + R buttons.

Step 2:
Perform a disk repair from the disk utility. Please make sure to unlock the partition

Step 3:
Then boot normally into OS X (the same SecureDoc error displayed).

Step 4:
Go to System Preferences to look at the File Vault status.

Step 5:
The disk repair will kick start the File Vault 2 encryption process which may be active but is in a paused state before the disk repair
(Note: the status bar wasn’t showing and the Activity Monitor didn’t reflect this).

Step 6:
Please allow the File Vault 2 to complete the encryption process (This may take approximately 50 minutes to complete.)

Step 7:
As soon as it has completed the encryption process, please turn off File Vault 2 and let the decryption process complete.  (This may take approximately 45 minutes to complete.)

Step 8:
Restart the device and upon completion of the reboot, SecureDoc automatically restarted it’s install and completed it’s encryption process.( This may take approximately 90 minutes to complete.)
