Users installing SecureDoc V6.5 on Apple OS X 10.10 client may notice a 4-5 minute delay before encryption begins

Issue

Customers installing the Version 6.5 SecureDoc client agent to manage FileVault2 on Apple OS X 10.10 devices may experience a delay of up to 5 minutes before the encryption process begins.

This issue impacts only Version 6.5 of SecureDoc for the Apple OS X platform, and only affects users of OS 10.10.  It does not affect devices running Apple OS X V10.10.1.

WinMagic is working diligently to rectify this in a forthcoming version of SecureDoc.

Work-Around:

Upgrade the Apple device to OS 10.10.1 before attempting to install SecureDoc V6.5 for FileVault2.
