Error 12 appears after start-up, or when launching SecureDoc Control Center (client agent GUI)

Issue:

Error number 12 after starting up and also when trying to launch SDCC

Cause:

TPM Support may have been enabled in the profile in effect on this device, but the TPM Chip has not been Activated/Registered on this specific device.

|Resolution:

Initially, disable the TPM chip in the BIOS, and send down a new Profile that does not rely upon TPM.

Afterward, if TPM is desired, it is essential that the TPM Chip is first Activated and Registered, after which the original TPM-based profile can be redeployed to this device.  The profile so deployed will not rely on a User Password, but instead will rely on the user authenticating to the TPM chip at pre-boot, which will release the cipher that will unlock the key file.
