Title: [SDBM]: HDD is NOT encrypted when installing SDBM package into machine has TPM enabled but not activated
Environment:
SecureDoc 8.3 SR1
TPM 1.2 enabled device but inactivated
Package: SDBM (TPM + PIN, "Used Space Only")
Issue: When installing SecureDoc using Package with SDBM (TPM + PIN, "Used Space Only") and the TPM 1.2 is enabled device but inactive the device will not reboot automatically, and encryption will not start.
BIOS Security Chip is set to “Inactive”.
During this process SecureDoc will start the Installation of the software and the Boot Logon.
A SecureDoc BitLocker Management windows will show the preparation progress bar.
The process seems to be completed but the Device will not automatically reboot, and the encryption will not start.
Solution: Given that TPM is enabled on the device, set Security Chip To “Active”. Reinstall SecureDoc.
