1055-How to install SD on Dual-Boot Windows Device

Prev Next

The following instructions apply ONLY for computers that are configured with Dual-Boot (Windows and Windows) operating system environments.

NOTE: It must be done in the order shown, below:

  1. Install just the SD driver on the 2nd Windows system. Ideally, this can be done by just running the standalone version of SecureDoc, since it does not have a built-in rule to begin encrypting the disk immediately, unlike the SecureDoc Enterprise Client which will automatically start encrypting.
  2. Then, use the remote SES SecureDoc installation package on the first Windows (as any other install), and permit that to start. encrypting the Disk (or if using a second version of the Stand-Alone product, use the Control Center to launch the encryption of the disk).

Note: It's important the SecureDoc driver is on both OS sub-platforms
