2078 How to Update the Original Master Root KeyFile Password

Below are the necessary steps to update the master root keyfile in SES:

Step 1: Back up the master root key and if the server is on VM, take a snapshot.
Step 2: Take note of the actual master root keyfile i.e. MaryJane
And the location of the keyfile i.e. C:\users\adminstrator\desktop\maryjane.dbk. Click on Database → Access Rights.

Step 3: To change the password, click Database → “Change key file password” Input the old and new password → click Ok

Step 4: Close the SES console and then reopen the SES console again.
Step 5: Input the new password → click on “Login Key File”

Step 6: For SDConnex and ADSync. Input the new password, click apply and then stop and restart the SDConnex and ADSync service.
