Creating Recovery Media before installing SecureDoc
It is advised to create recovery media before installing SecureDoc on Windows 8. To create the recovery media, follow these steps: - Go to registry editor:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\partmgr\Parameters] - Add "RMMode" [REG_DWORD], set value = 1
- Reboot the machine, select the recovery drive and media creation can go further.
- Delete the previous registry value, otherwise, SD cannot encrypt removable media.
