Why am I getting Error 9607 ‘Unknown command’ message appears when USB drive is disconnected?
Problem Scenario/Symptom
- This message appears when a USB drive is disconnected during the encryption process.
- If you attempt to remove the boot loader or uninstall SecureDoc, a message appears indicating that the drive is still encrypted.
- If you attempt to decrypt the drive, a message appears indicating that the drive is not encrypted.
Proposed Resolution
The drive will need to be "RESET", and then formatted again.
Log in to SecureDoc Control Center (keyfile MUST have administrator privileges) then choose "Disk Encryption" tab, then choose the "drive" you want to reset, then click the "Reset" button.
NB: Make sure you choose the drive number.
