SES reports the incorrect number of licenses

Symptom: SES reports the incorrect number of licenses.

 

Cause: This might occur as the result of a server upgrade or a database migration from one server to another. 

 

Resolution

The license file needs to be cleared and reapplied.

 

Follow the steps below to clear the license file from the SES:

1) In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, open the databases table.

2) Locate and open the database folder.

3) Locate the dboSettings table.

4) Right-click and choose "edit top 200 rows".

5) Locate "IDNLW_DB_DATA_BSI_SERVER_FILE" in the Name column.

6) Right-click on this row and select "Delete" (see screenshot below).

7) Open the SES and confirm that the license file is no longer present.

8) Obtain and load the correct license file.
