Title: Important information surrounding the macOS Monterey 12.0.1 release
Apple is anticipating that macOS Monterey 12.0.1 will be released on Monday October 25, 2021. WinMagic is currently implementing a new SD FV2 client to support the Monterey platform and will provide a release update shortly. Once Apple officially releases Monterey, WinMagic will require an additional 30 days (or earlier) to complete our validations on the GA release version. Please note that SD FV2 v8.6 SR1 and earlier versions will not support macOS Monterey, and customers will need to wait for the new SD FV2 v8.7 release before upgrading to their SecureDoc devices to Monterey.
Customers should not install new or upgrade existing SD FV2 systems to macOS Monterey 12.0.1 until WinMagic issues an announcement with further instructions.
For unexpected cases where systems automatically upgrade to macOS Monterey, the Mac devices will function fine including FV2 functions. However, the SecureDoc Control Center will be unavailable within the macOS operating system and features like RMCE won’t be available.
