Limitation
WinMagic is currently working on adding support for latest MAC  OSX 10.12 Sierra. As this version of OSX and utilizes  new architecture, it will take WinMagic some time to support it;
OSX 10.12 will NOT be supported in SES 7.1X - 7.1sr4
 
 

SecureDoc Version

Upgrade to OSX 10.12 from current supported OSX (10.9.x, 10.10.x, 10.11.x)

Net new install on OSX 10.12

7.1 SR2 HF2 and older

Expected behavior:
-During OSX upgrade to 10.12, the following error message will be displayed:
o    Installation Fails with error message in install log "/Library/Extensions/WinMagicSDFVFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/WinMagicDriverB.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) dependency load failed;"
o    Force power down required
o    Upon power up, OSX upgrade will be successful
-After OSX 10.12 upgrade, SecureDoc will no longer work.  Communication and management are not available
-WinMagic Recovery Account will still be available to unlock FV2 preboot if user forgets their password.  Password change process provided by SD will no longer be available.  User must contact their system administrator to reset their OSX / FV2 credentials.
-Master Keychain and Password will be available for recovery.
-OSX 10.12 functionality will not be impacted

Not supported

7.1 SR4

Expected behavior:

Workaround:
Advise end users to not upgrade or turn off automatic updates


Fix Version :

7.1 SR4 HF3 was released on October 28th 2016 and links are available.
10.12.0 and 10.12.1 are supported with this release.
We encourage clients to go over the limitations before running installs.
