Issue:
After installing WinMagic on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Touch Screen , Keyboard no longer work at Preboot
Probable Causes:
Non-Working Touch Firmware
System UEFI 104.1121.768
SAM Controller 103.1081.260
Intel Management Engine 11.0.0.1202
System Embedded Controller 103.1158.256
Touch Firmware 1.51.149.106.4.36
Product version affected:
Version 6.5 , 7.1 , 7.1SR4 Running under PBU (preboot UEFI)
Environment (OS/hardware/software):
Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10
Workaround:
Clients will need to apply the latest Microsoft Firmware update for Surface Pro 4 that was released on August 1.
This will restore functionality to devices running 7.1 SR2 , 7.1sr4
This can be applied through Windows Update
