1709 Current known limitations and issues noted from testing Surface Pro 2017

Preliminary Info:

The Surface Pro 2017 (model 1796) comes initially installed with Windows 10. 
Since Microsoft include the latest version of Windows 10 Creators edition (1703) , hence, it’s recommended to setup device using SecureDoc build 7.1 SR6 or higher.

Note: For recommended configuration settings to setup the Surface Pro 2017 device, please refer to KB Article 1708
After installing SecureDoc, you may see during boot up process, it’s normal to see kernel window screen during boot up process
At time of writing article, the following hardware issues and limitations have been observed from testing under Securedoc 7.5 using Surface Pro 2017:

PBLUx64 - Surface Pro 2017 Touch Screen does not work

-console=null quiet nosmp acpi=off reboot=warm,,efi,force

Keyboard Detection

Older versions of Microsoft Type Cover keyboard prior to June 2017 should be detected in our current linux kernel however, as there's a recent release of a new Type Cover around June 2017 hence, it's possible that user may report not being able to detect new version since it the new
PID\VID info is not present in pblu list.

When Using PBU

The following hardware limitations have currently been noted using PBU (since BIOS doesn’t support them):

VGA Display with Dock                                 -> no video output at BIOS time
Wireless Display Adapter                            -> no video output at BIOS time
VGA Display Adapter                                     -> no video output at BIOS time
HDMI Display Adapter                                  -> no video output at BIOS time

Native UEFI preboot (PBU)      -> wired PBConnex with USB Ethernet Dongle Model 1663 is not working
Native UEFI preboot (PBU)      -> wired PBConnex with Surface Dock Model 1661 is not working

NIC: Surface Dock / Dongle: SD-23469 [fixed in 7.5 SR1]
