Issue:
SanDisk X300s Self-Encrypting Drives with firmware version X2230501 has a bug which may cause a BSOD after the OPAL feature is managed by WinMagic SecureDoc or if the ATA Password feature is enabled.
Product version affected:
Reported in SD 7.1 SR2a
Environment (OS/hardware/software):
SanDisk SED Opal X300s firmware version X2230501
Lenovo devices
Windows OS
Workaround: (Problematic Machines)
The workaround is to deploy the attached registry key to systems with the SanDisk X300s SED with firmware version X2230501.
Intel RST Driver version 13.x or 14.x is required for this registry key fix to work.
Insert the following 3 lines into a text document and save it as a .reg file (any filename is suitable). After doing so, double click on the file and add to registry.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStorA\Parameters\Device]
"DeviceSleep"=dword:00000000
