Please find below a list of recommended Intel Rapid Storage Drivers that have been tested to work with SecureDoc and OPAL SED deployment.
Drivers listed here have passed QA's basic compatibility testing and are considered to be compatible with SecureDoc as of July 22nd 2015.
If these drivers are no longer available, please download the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers from the vendor website.
Recommendation:
To ensure a successful installation of SD with SED OPAL drive, please ensure the followings are set up:
- BIOS SATA controller is set to AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface)
- IRST driver - recommended IRST driver installed on Windows OS
- Ensure the SED hard drive is OPAL 2 compliant

To obtain the proper AHCI driver, please contact Intel or your computer manufacturer.
It is very important with Self-Encrypting Drives that for Intel based systems, the correct Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver is installed.
