1456 Unable to Create Emergency Disk for 5.3SR4 Devices With Multiple User Accounts.

Issue:
This KB article addresses the issue of not being able to create emergency disk for 5.3SR4 devices that has multiple user accounts.

Product version affected:
SES 6.4SR1
Client: 5.3 SR4

Environment (OS/hardware/software):
SES: windows 2008 R2
Client: Windows 7 X64

Solution/Workaround:

Suggestion1:
1. try renaming the directory containing the boot files to "V5.3SR4" and "V5.3SR4.20120821.27"  from C:\Program Files (x86)\WinMagic\SDDB-NT\Binary boot files
2. Recreate the emergency disk.

Suggestion2:
1. Determine how many users are assigned to the device. If the device has more than 40 accounts (keyfiles), removed all user accounts except the admin account to the device
2. Determine if there is an autoboot account - try to remove the account - then recreate the emergency disk
3. Request the two dll files (sdcSES.dll and sduserSES.dll) from WinMagic Support team.
