1132-Error 8055 Can’t write to MBR

Symptom

When I try to install a Boot Manager program on a computer on which SecureDoc is installed, the message "Error: 8055 Can't write to MBR" appears.

Cause

The Boot Manager program is trying to write to the MBR, which is locked by SecureDoc.

Resolution

In the Boot Configuration Menu [F8 then F5], change the Access MBR Mode to 1 and the Virtual MBR to Yes.
