Issue:
A user is unable to decrypt a USB drive that is encrypted as a container. The option to decrypt is greyed out.
Cause:
Container-based removable media cannot be decrypted separately like complete hard disks. The data on the USB drive is stored in an encrypted binary file.
Resolution:
Decrypt the data using the attached decryption tool.
Copy the decrypted data out of the container to a non-encrypted location.
Once the data has been copied, remove the relevant directory structure on the USB drive.
The USB drive can now be used as usual without encryption.
