Product version affected:

SD 7.1 and newer version

Environment:

Windows OS devices

Steps to follow:

  1. Ensure that error is generated before generating the log file. Note: If it is a token related issue, please make sure to plug the token into the device and attempt to reproduce the error.

  2. Format any USB Flash Drive to any FAT32 filesystem.

  3. Create an empty file named ‘WmPba.ini’ in the root of the USB Flash Drive.

  4. Edit the file WmPba.ini have to have at least the following content in ASCII:
    -------------------------------- begin of file
    [Common]
    DebugLevel=5
    -------------------------------- end of file

  5. Optional: download and placed the modified WmPba.ini in the root of the USB Flash Drive.

  6. Plug the USB flash drive in to USB port of a computer and reboot into Preboot (PBL may work a bit slowly due to writing .log files).

  7. Authenticate at Preboot (it may take some time to write to the log file).

  8. Once logging is done, unplug the memory stick and find the newly created pba.log (combining both /wm/pbl.log and /wm/pba.log into one file) in the root folder of the USB stick.

  9. Send all *.log files from the root of the USB Flash Drive.
