Product version affected:

SD 6.x to latest version

Environment:

Steps to follow:

  1. Ensure that error is generated before generating the log file. Note: If it is a token related issue, please make sure to plug the token into the device and attempt to reproduce the error.
  2. Format any USB Flash Drive to FAT/FAT32 filesystem,
  3. Create empty file named ‘WMUEFI.ini’ file in the root of the USB Flash Drive
  4. Edit the file WmUefi.ini to have the following entries in ASCII:
    -------------------------------- begin of file
    [Common]
    DebugLevel=5
    -------------------------------- end of file
  5. Optional: download and place the modified WmUefi.ini in the root of the USB Flash Drive.
  6. Plug the USB flash drive in to USB port of a computer and reboot into Preboot,
  7. Authenticate at Preboot (it may take some time to write to the log file).
  8. Once logging is done, unplug the memory stick and find the newly created wmsdrv.log in the root folder of the USB stick
  9. Send all *.log files from the root of the USB Flash Drive.
