1434 Support for Seagate DriveTrust SEDs (Self-Encrypting Drives) will be deprecated as of end of February, 2016.

Notice: Support for Seagate DriveTrust SEDs (Self-Encrypting Drives) will be deprecated as of  end of February, 2016.

Customers can anticipate that SES Version 7.1 will be the last version of SES under which DriveTrust drives will be supported.

Any remaining customers that still have Seagate DriveTrust FDE drives in current use will continue to be supported under V7.1, but are strongly recommended to replace those drives with Opal drives if the customer has any intentions to upgrade affected devices to a version of SecureDoc later than V7.1.
