1087-Error 9730-Invalid checksum of the encryption engine, please update with new checksum

Symptom

When trying to log into boot logon, the message 'Error 0x00009730 - Invalid checksum of the encryption engine, please update with new checksum' appears.

Cause

SecureDoc’s boot code runs a checksum on the binary files to ensure they are intact.
If these files are moved, deleted, or corrupted, an integrity check failure will occur.

This will prevent a non-administrative user from logging into the computer.
 

Resolution

To correct this, simply log into the computer with an administrative key file, e.g. via USB drive.
