Error 7a06: Directory Config Attribute doesn’t have a Value

Symptoms

When performing an LDAP import:

  • The error “Error 7a06 – Directory config attribute doesn’t have a value” appears.
  • The import completes but reports that zero users were fetched.

Cause

This issue may occur when a configuration option used during remote installation is not supported in the current environment.

Resolution

  1. Open Tools → Options → Other in the SecureDoc console.
  2. Check whether the following option is enabled:
    “Add domain name to the user ID in remote installation.”
  3. If this option is enabled:
    • Ensure that the domain information exists and is accessible in Active Directory (AD).
  4. If the domain information is not available:
    • Uncheck this option.
    • Run the LDAP import again.
