Title:
RDP with MagicEndpoint (No user action) or Enhanced RDP does not work with Microsoft Remote Desktop app and other apps
Topic:
Pre-conditions:
- Microsoft Remote Desktop app (download from Microsoft store) is installed
- Managed PC is enabled Enhanced RDP + No user action
Steps:
- On Managed PC -> RDP by Microsoft Remote Desktop app -> Unmanaged PC
- Observing
Expected result:
- RDP with no user action successful (Enhanced RDP does NOT show)
Actual result:
- RDP Authentication shows → Enter valid account → RDP to destination device → Enter account: email & password → Login to destination device successful.
Note: This issue does NOT occur with Native Windows RDP
Environment (OS/hardware/software):
- SD 9.1 SR1 HF2
- ME 1.4.102
- ME App 1.180
- Windows 10 & 11 22h2
Details / Workaround:
The simple RDP App from Microsoft just does not use any Credential Providers and is designed to stay simple. Thus, SecureDoc Credential Provider (SDCP) is not involved at all.
