ARM Processors and Compatibility with SecureDoc

Environment

  • Any PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Systems equipped with processors based on ARM architecture (e.g., Qualcomm Snapdragon)

Summary

SecureDoc client installers are not compatible with PCs that use ARM‑based processors. SecureDoc currently supports only Intel and AMD x86/x64 processor architectures.

While the SecureDoc installer may appear to complete successfully on an ARM‑based system, the product will not function correctly, and the device cannot be encrypted.

Recommendation

SecureDoc does not support ARM‑based processors at this time, and WinMagic currently has no plans to introduce ARM processor support. Customers should ensure that all hardware purchases align with WinMagic’s supported and certified device list. Only systems that appear on the compatibility list have been tested and validated for use with SecureDoc.
