The purpose of this article is to walk you through creating a 2nd user on a Standalone device that is already encrypted. For this article, you should have an SecureDoc Administrator, and have the boot logon installed.
To create a 2nd user for a stand alone device, you need to export the current users key file. Ensure that you have admin rights to access the SecureDoc Control Center.
1) Login to the SecureDoc Control Center. 2) Go to Boot Control > User Management 3) Select the user and click Export. Select where you want to store the key file, and click Ok. 4) Close and open the SecureDoc Control Center. 5) Select Key Management 6) Click on Create Key file. 7) Select Password Based key file, and click Next. 8) Fill in where you want to store the new key file, the username, and the password information, and click Next. 9) Click Next on the user rights screen. 10) On the Key management screen, click the import button. Navigate to the key file exported in step 3. 11) Provide the Password and click Login. 12) Select the key you wish to import, and click OK. 13) Click Finish. 14) Once you have created the key file successfully, you can log back into the SecureDoc control center and import the new key file under the User Management screen from Steps 2 and 3.
