Digital Signature Timestamps for SecureDoc Installers
Description: SecureDoc Standalone and SES executable installers have been updated to provide consistent digital signature validation throughout their supported lifecycle.
Solution: Digital signature timestamps are now included with the applicable SecureDoc executable installers, supporting continued Windows validation of installer authenticity and integrity.

Restoration of BitLocker Options After SecureDoc Uninstallation
Description: Windows BitLocker management options modified during SecureDoc installation might not be automatically restored when SecureDoc was uninstalled.
Solution: Enhanced the SecureDoc uninstallation process to restore the Manage BitLocker option in Windows Control Panel and applicable BitLocker context menu options in File Explorer.

Biometric MFA Authentication After Resuming from Hibernation
Description: MFA authentication using fingerprint or Face ID could fail after signing in to the SecureDoc Control Panel (SDCP) with a password and subsequently resuming the device from hibernation.
Solution: SecureDoc now detects when biometric authentication is unavailable following resume and restarts the Windows biometric service and fingerprint scanning process, allowing the user to retry biometric authentication.

Improved Offline Pre-Boot Authentication for Device Owner and Package Users
Description: Device Owner and Package Users could receive a “User name does not exist” (0x8135) or “Invalid credentials” (0xa0) error when authenticating offline at Pre-Boot after another user authenticated through a PBConnex Access Policy with the Save Key File option enabled.
Solution: Improved handling of authentication information ensures that Device Owner and Package Users can successfully authenticate at Pre-Boot when the device is offline.

Improved Encryption Handling for Excluded Partitions
Description: On systems with multiple disks, a partition configured as an encryption exception in the SecureDoc profile could still be encrypted.
Solution: SecureDoc now correctly applies configured partition-level encryption exclusions, ensuring that excluded partitions remain unencrypted as intended.

Limitation
Support for Updated UEFI Secure Boot Certificates
Description: SecureDoc 9.2 SR1 HF2 supports Microsoft’s updated 2023 UEFI certificates for Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA). Before updating SES to 9.2 SR1 HF2 and deploying the SecureDoc 9.2 SR1 HF2 client, devices should have the Microsoft UEFI CA 2023 and Microsoft Option ROM UEFI CA 2023 signing certificates.
Recommendation: Where supported, update devices to include the Microsoft 2023 UEFI certificates through an OEM BIOS update or Windows Update. For devices that support only the legacy Microsoft 2011 UEFI certificates, SES 9.2 SR1 can be used with SDClient 9.2 SR1 HF2 to maintain Pre-Boot Authentication compatibility.
