Patch Description:

Some minor issues were reported with  SecureDoc Enterprise Server (SES) 6.1 SR1 and today, WinMagic has released a patch to address the potential reported issues. The process of applying a patch is very easy and quick to implement. This patch is ONLY for clients on SES 6.1 SR1. If you are currently running SES 6.1 and plan to upgrade to SES 6.1 SR1, this patch will be required as part of that process.

Patch Fixes:

This patch for SES 6.1 SR1 will address the following potential issues:

  • Upgrade Licensing – there is a possibility when upgrading to SR1 that existing SecureDoc client license files could be lost. This patch corrects this issue and prevents it from occurring.

  • Profile Upgrade – corrects an issue where under certain circumstances (depending on SES configuration) problems could arise with keyboard mapping and auto boot causing a black screen.

  • SecureDoc 5.3 client management – there was the potential for an issue with SES 6.1 SR1 upgrades and clients running SecureDoc 5.3 SR4 not being recognized in the central console, this has been corrected.

  • Pre-boot in multi-domain environments – addresses potential issue where pre-boot errors could occur in Complex Forest/Multi-domain environments.

  • Corrects a potential SES SQL Server database issue that can cause exponential log growth.
