Preboot Error Messages starting with 0x44## are BIOS errors
This article provides information on the meaning of any messages starting with 0x44xx, surfaced from within the Pre-Boot Environment.
Meaning of 0x44## from pre-boot: All error format as 0x44##, and produced from PBA, are actually BIOS errors (mainly from BIOS int13h), and the "0x44” serves as SecureDoc's indication of this.
Below is the error number extracted from Phoenix BIOS V4.0:
We take the actual error below, prefix it with 0x44 and pass it through to the Pre-boot code.

• 10h: Might indicating BAD sector
